« I create absurd and comical overlapping combinations of materials. »
Humberto Poidomani is an Argentinian artist who has exhibited his work throughout the US, where he is now based. His art is centered on ideological notions of societal crisis, ecology, poverty, and life and death, which he develops through complex assemblages, sculptures, paintings, boxes and objects. With thick, gestural brushstrokes and literary textual references, he composes striking paintings that display a subversive spirit and echo the Arte Povera movement.
